DESCRIPTION:Get ready for our Opening Day Celebration! \nWe’ll kick off the day with our Parade down Broad Street\, our Opening Ceremony\, and then games will begin! We’re looking forward to a fun-filled day! Griffith Girls Softball will be joining us during the parade to celebrate the start of their season\, too! \nThe parade will being promptly at 9am at the Franklin Center and head down Broad Street to Pine\, where we’ll end at our Major Field. GYB/GGS Teams\, see details below. \nOur Opening Ceremony will immediately follow the parade. And then it’s time to PLAY! \nOpening Day Game Schedule \nTball on the Major Field:\nAngels @ Brewers 10am\nRays @ Cubs 11:30am\nOrioles @ Diamondbacks 1pm \nRookie on Minor Field:\nDodgers @ Rays 10am\nPirates @ Orioles 12pm \nMinor:\nRays @ Cardinals 2pm\nBrewers @ Marlins 4pm \nMajor:\nCubs @ Red Sox 2:30pm\nRed Sox @ Orioles 4:30pm \nBabe Ruth:\nGriffith Gold @ Griffith White 10:30am\nLowell Devils Reds @ Griffith Black 12:30pm \n———————————– \n**Important GYB/GGS Team Info** \n– Managers/Coaches/Players: Make sure to wear your uniforms. No cleats until game time and dress for the weather! \n– Managers/Coaches/Players: Arrive in the Franklin Center parking lot no later than 8:45am. You can begin arriving at 8:00am. Please do not arrive before this time. ONLY VEHICLES IN THE PARADE ARE PERMITTED IN THE LOT. Parents must drop off players outside the lot. Streets will be busy and parking will be limited. \n– Managers/Coaches/Players: You can walk in the parade or ride in a decorated vehicle (only one vehicle per team). We like a mixture of both! You must stop by the entrance of the lot to see Erinn and Colleen who will direct you where to park. Signs can be carried by walkers. Candy cannot be thrown. \n– Tell your family and friends to line up along Broad Street for you to wave to. \n– If you are driving in the parade\, when you reach our major field\, you’ll park along the side streets and walk to the field. Teams\, enter the Major Field and line up around the perimeter of the field. \n– The Opening Ceremony will begin once all players are in the field! \n– Games start at 10am
