2019 Registration Dates and Information
The 2019 Season is here! Registration begins on January 13th, 2019. GYB is open to all 4 – 15 year old youths in Griffith and surrounding towns. Registrations are accepted online by clicking here or in person at any of our registration locations and dates.
In-Person Registration Locations and Dates:
At the Griffith High School fieldhouse during BlackCats from 12pm-4pm:
January: 13 & 27
February: 2, 10, 17, & 24
March: 3 & 10
In the GYB board room above the concession stand at the Major Field from 6pm-8pm:
February: 20 & 27
March: 6, 13, & 20
Registration Requirements: birth certificate for new players, signed medical waiver and signed code of conduct. Player may not begin practice until medical waiver and code of conduct is received.
Fee: $150 early sign up fee (Regular fee of $170 begins March 3rd)
$50 Each Additional Player ($300 max per family)

2018 Closing Ceremony & Picnic
It’s time for the GYB 2018 Picnic and Closing Ceremony!
The league picnic will be held on July 28th from 12-5pm. Closing ceremonies (and trophies) will be at 1pm with food and fun to follow. We ask that all teams (coaches and players) be there by 12:30 so we can get food out and everyone set up.
The board will provide plates, utensils, hot dogs, and burgers. We ask our GYB family to help us out with the following food:
• T-Ball/Rookie: Side dish
• Minors/Majors: Dessert
• Babe Ruth: Fruit or Chips/Dip
Please bring your own:
• Beverages (no alcohol)
• Coolers
• Chairs
• Towels (we’ll have a water slide!!!!)
Spirit Wear will be available for purchase. Please see a board member.

Opening Day 2018
JOIN US FOR THE OFFICIAL START OF THE GRIFFITH YOUTH BASEBALL SEASON!
Watch our parade, watch the kids play, eat some food, and have some fun!
The parade will start down Broad Street from the YMCA at 9am sharp and end at our Major’s Field on Pine Street*. Opening Ceremonies will follow the parade. Games begin at 11am!
*If you’re a player or coach, please be at the YMCA at 8:30am for line up.
